NHL defenceman Dion Phaneuf's great aunt, Sarnia's own Wilma McNeill, has launched her sixth annual jersey raffle in support of St. Joseph's Hospice.
Tickets, $5 each, are being sold with the first prize being Phaneuf's last signed Toronto Maple Leafs jersey and his first signed Ottawa Senators jersey, the second prize.
Tickets are available now at the hospice on Christina St. N and at the Milk Marc Variety stores at Michigan Rd., Murphy Rd., Wellington St. and Indian Rd.
They will also be sold this Friday and Saturday and again May 20 and 21 from 10am until 4pm at Valumart on Cathcart Blvd.
Sales will continue at various locations in May and June leading up to the actual raffle to be held in conjunction with the Bill Cannon Memorial Golf Tournament June 17.
Other sale dates and locations are: May 13 and 14 at No Frills and June 4 at Sunripe.
There are 1,000 tickets available this year with total proceeds for hospice programs and services over the six years expected to be near $25,000.
