A tenant at the Canterbury Court Apartment Buildings near Devine St. is expressing concerns over the state of the parking lot.
Larry MacKenzie says the lot, including handicap spots and accessible ramps, is submerged in water.
He says this has been an ongoing issue after heavy rainfall, noting it's happened six times since December.
He adds the drains have been blocked for quite some time and it takes a week of no rain for it to completely dry up.
"You see people pulling right up onto the front entrance cement pad to let people out," says MacKenzie.
"Then there's the issue with the kids. You try and tell them they can't play outside, it's ludicrous. They end up in that water as much as we tell them to stay out of it. You have gases and litter accumulate in it."
Sarnia's Public Works Department says since the parking lot is on private property, the issue lies with the owners of the building.
MacKenzie says he's been in contact with the owners and hasn't had luck in fixing the problem.
