Council's Agenda Includes SSEC Naming Rights

Sarnia council will discuss an update on the city's advertising and sponsorship program when it meets Monday afternoon.

After a three month expression of interest period, no bids have been made on the naming rights for the SSEC. A report says staff will continue efforts for advertising opportunities, including other recreation facilities, public transit and sports fields.

Councillor Brian White is calling on city staff to work with police on an action plan to prevent vandalism in the community.

Council will consider financing options for two solar rooftop installations on Sarnia Harbour and the Bluewater Gymnastics Building.

A representative from the 'Save SCITS' group will address council in regards to a recent city report and the LKDSB's Accomodation Review Committee.

The Sarnia Humane Society has offered to cover for a pilot Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) project with 40 feral cats.

Council's public session begins at 4pm.
