Sarnia police issued a lot of traffic tickets over the weekend. In response to complaints, patrols were conducted in two residential neighbourhoods. Constable John Sottosanti says officers made 40 traffic stops and issued 91 tickets since Friday. He says the majority of the offences were in the Heritage Park and Blackwell Side Rd. areas. "Some were related to motor vehicle collisions as well, but a mass majority of them were related to those areas in regards to speeding as well as other highway traffic act violations such as not carrying their insurance cards or driver's licence with them." Sarnia police also investigated six motor vehicle crashes over the weekend. There were 152 calls for service in total, including four break and enters and 12 domestic disputes.
