In less than seven hours Thursday morning, Lambton OPP attended 11 incidents on area roads.
Constable Chris Doupe says two were collisions involving more than one vehicle.
"We're having a lot of difficulty in the [Hwy.] 402, Hwy. 40, Oil Heritage Rd., Petrolia Line and Mandaumin Rd. areas," says Doupe. "So far we have had nine vehicles enter the ditch including three tractor-trailers."
Doupe says the majority of incidents could have been avoided if motorists would slow down in poor road conditions.

He anticipates crews will begin tackling side streets Thursday evening.
The snow will taper off in the afternoon but strong winds will continue to cause blowing snow, especially in outlying areas.
