Celtic Harp, Samurai Swords Stolen Near Corunna

Police are investigating a residential break and enter in the Corunna area that resulted in the theft of some very unique items.

Lambton OPP believes a large U-Haul rental truck was used between January 14 and January 15 to take several pieces of property from a home in the area of St. Clair Pkwy. and Keww Dr.

The OPP is asking the community to have a watchful eye for items that are extremely unique and easily identifiable.

They include:

  • A Celtic Harp made in 1926, 5 ft tall, hand crafted wood frame containing several Celtic designs, and two of the Harp’s strings are red in colour.
  • A Buscher Saxophone made in 1930 recently refinished in silver contained within a black hard case lined with purple cloth.
  • Two Odachi Samurai Swords, 4 ft and 5 ft long, polished steel blades with Japanese print on the blade; one has an army green sheath while the other has a wood sheath.
  • Three Marantz Stereo Amplifier/Receivers
  • Acoustat Spectra 2200 Mirage “see- through” membrane speakers, 6 ft tall and only 3 in wide framed in “bird’s eye” maple wood.
Anyone who saw a U-Haul in the residential area or any suspicious people is asked to contact Detective Constable Steele of the OPP at 519-882-1011 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
