Sarnia-Lambton residents made the recent stop of the Rogers Hometown Hockey tour in the area the biggest yet.
Rogers Hometown Hockey says 10,425 people took part in the two day event in downtown Sarnia in December, the highest attended event on the tour so far.
Tourism Sarnia Lambton's Vicky Praill says the event also garnered plenty of attention on social media.
"We had over 20,000 facebook likes and 20,000 Twitter followers," says Praill.
"Weather was obviously on our side but were definitely grateful that we had the opportunity to host the event."
Highlights included autograph sessions with former NHLers and the national broadcast of "Hometown Hockey" on Sportsnet with host Ron MacLean.
