Hospital Names Final Executive Member

Bluewater Health has announced the final member of its executive team. Samer Abou-Sweid has been appointed Vice President Operations. He assumes the role previously held by Mike Lapaine who became President and CEO effective January 1 when Sue Denomy's retirement became official. In a news release Monday, the hospital says Samer has been in healthcare for more than a decade and brings leadership experience from large academic centres including St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto and most recently, London Health Sciences Centre.

The rest of the executive team was previously announced on December 22nd.

Shannon Landry, from Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston, fills the role of Chief Nursing Executive previously held by Barb O'Neil. Laurie Zimmer, from the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network, has accepted the Vice-President's position currently held by Lynda Robinson.

Dr. Michel Haddad had been appointed Interim Chief of Professional Staff in mid-December following the departure of Dr. Mark Taylor.

The sixth member of the executive team is Kim Bossy who has served as Chief of Communications and Public Affairs since 2008.
