City Bylaw Team To Move To East St.

The city of Sarnia now says a new home has been found for the bylaw enforcement team with the closure of the former office at 226 Wellington St.

Director of Planning and Building, Jane Cooper, says they've had to close the facility, commonly known as the Parking Authority building, due to water damage.

Bylaw enforcement will move to 293 East St. but that building won't be ready for occupation until mid-March. In the meantime, staff will be temporarily accommodated on the third floor at city hall.

Cooper says service delivery should not be impacted.

Parking fines can be paid online, by mail, using the drop box at 226 Wellington St. until further notice, or in person at the third floor counter at city hall.
