Busy Council Agenda

Sarnia council considers a business opportunity during its meeting later today (Mon) for Bluewater Power to offer fibre communications services within the community.

Council's public session begins at 4pm.

Bluewater Power needs approval from the City of Sarnia and one other shareholder to move forward on the project. Services would be provided to Sarnia and Pt. Edward commercial and institutional sectors in 2016.

The Sarnia & District Humane Society could be approved for operating the children's animal farm at Canatara Park effective January 1st.

The public will have their say before council votes on a bylaw amendment application restricting heights of front-yard fences.

A rezoning application asks for the number of community accessible parking spaces be increased.

And depending on the number of votes, council could once again discuss or make a decision on post-retirement benefit cuts for employees eligible for early retirement.
