Town Of Wyoming Honours Davidson

Retired Sarnia-Lambton Conservative MP and Wyoming native Pat Davidson is being honoured by her home town.

The town's library will be named after the former Plympton-Wyoming Mayor, and Lambton County Warden.

Mayor Lonny Napper says the council wanted to honour Pat for her 38 years of service.

"We brought forward the idea of maybe the library. It was something that's close to her heart," says Napper. "She spent a lot of time in that building when it used to be a firehall and we just thought it would be a great honour for her."

Davidson's political career started in 1980 as a member of Wyoming council. She served as area MP from 2006 to 2015.

Her husband, Bill, served as Fire Chief for a number of years at the former firehall building.

There will be a special sign unveilling ceremony at a later date.
