The Inn of the Good Shepherd is doing its part to help the hundreds who were displaced in Sunday's fire at the Kenwick Building in downtown Sarnia.
The blaze broke out around 1:30am in the third floor parking garage. 16 people were taken to hospital, two are listed in critical condition.
Adelle Richards says the 100 or so people initially evacuated early Sunday morning are being housed at the Comfort Inn.
At least 100 others spent Sunday night sleeping on cots at Lambton College after the building was deemed unsafe for occupancy.
Everyone in the building has been advised to try to find alternate accommodation for at least a week.
Richards says many left with little but the clothes on their backs.

Richards says they are also collecting personal hygiene items such as toothpaste, shampoo, disposable razors and deodorant.
Donations can be dropped off at the Inn of the Good Shepherd on John St. near Devine St.
Pets are being cared for at the Sarnia Humane Society.
