Masked Man Robs Woman Making Deposit

A Sarnia woman, making a business deposit at a financial institution in the city late Monday night, was robbed by a masked suspect.

City police say they responded to the 1300 block of Exmouth St. after a young woman reported being approached just before midnight by a man with his face partially covered.

Police say the man was yelling at the woman who dropped the deposit bag allowing the suspect to grab it and flee on foot. The woman was shaken, but not injured.

Sarnia police, assisted by the OPP Canine Unit, conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

He's described as about 5'10" tall, wearing a black hoodie, a black mask, black jeans and black running shoes.

Anyone with information about the incident or suspect is asked to contact city police or Crime Stoppers.
