Lambton County is bucking the provincial trend when it comes to this year's corn crop.
Agronomists says the corn yield could be a record but Lambton Agriculture Federation Grains Committee Chair Kevin Marriott says local crops were hard hit by a wet month of June.

However, Marriott says almost all of the soybeans were harvested by last weekend, way ahead of schedule, meaning record acreage of winter wheat will go in.
Last fall's winter wheat crop was decimated by a record cold winter and wet spring.
