There was a strong turnout at advance polls for the October 19 federal election in Sarnia-Lambton Riding, as was the case across the country.
Elections Canada's preliminary numbers show 9,441 people cast early ballots over four days, compared to 6,230 over three days in 2011, an increase of over 50 per cent.
In Lambton-Kent-Middlesex Riding 10,453 voted early, up from 8,631 in 2011.
More than 3.6-million voted in advance across the country, an increase of 71 per cent over 2011.
