Board Approves 2016 Police Budget

The Sarnia Police Services board has approved a 2016 draft budget of nearly $24.2-million. Police Chief Phil Nelson says last year's budget had its unique challenges and next year is no different. He says the 2016 draft represents an increase of about 4.7 per cent. City council will consider police spending during budget deliberations December 1.

The uniform complement remains unchanged at 111 officers.
