The Petrolia Discovery Foundation is considering its options after Lambton County officials declared six buildings at the historic site unsalvageable.
County building officials say they include the store, the historic church and The Blue House which was moved to the site in the 1980's.
The report says most of the walkways are hazardous and a number of barns and portables from the 1970's must be removed.
The site is closed for the season and an order keeping the public away from the property has been posted.
Foundation Chair Dawn Sperling says because the property is a heritage site, it will take time to figure out what should be done.

The town of Petrolia says it has reluctantly stepped away from the management role it had previously assumed because of liability implications, but will continue to support the foundation.
The foundation board will host an information night in the future to update the public on the Discovery's revitalization.
