Members of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation vote Friday on the Ipperwash Final Settlement Agreement.
The federal government has offered $95-million and the return of the 2,200 acre former Camp Ipperwash expropriated in 1942 for establishment of a military training base.
It was to be returned at the end of the war but military personnel didn't withdraw from the property until First Nations members reoccupied it in July 1995.
$70-million of the proposed settlement would be put into a fund overseen by trustees for future development of the original Stony Point reserve.
About $20-million would be used to compensate original members of Stony Point, their ancestors and eligible band members.
An advance poll was held in mid August and voting today (Friday) is scheduled from 9am until 8pm at Hillside School.
Results have to be released within ten days.
