Drivers Ignore School Bus Laws

Sarnia police have been busy as motorists continue to disregard school bus safety.

Officers have received several calls of vehicles passing stopped school buses, picking up and dropping off students.

Constable Les Jones says one call, is one too many.

The penalty for failing to stop for a school bus with its stop arm activated and lights flashing is a $490 fine and six demerit points for a first offence.
