Sting Scrimmage For United Way

The 2015-2016 Sarnia Sting season was kicked off with a community pep rally at the RBC Centre Wednesday.

There was musical entertainment, interactive games and a barbecue and beer garden in the parking lot in advance of the annual Black and White game.

Mayor Mike Bradley formally welcomed new Sting owners Derian Hatcher and David Legwand to the community.

A good crowd attended the intrasquad game that raised $2,990 for the Sarnia-Lambton United Way, twice as much as last year.

Team Black came from behind to beat Team White 7-6 in a shootout. Sting Pep Rally Sept. 2, 2015 (BlackburnNews.com photo by Dave Dentinger)Sting Pep Rally Sept. 2, 2015 (BlackburnNews.com photo by Dave Dentinger)
