A 37-year-old Corunna man faces several charges including assaulting police in connection with an incident Tuesday afternoon.
Lambton OPP says at about 2:45pm, a driver was seen committing several traffic violations in the town. The vehicle fled from police but stopped a short time later and the driver allegedly became combative with officers.
Police say the officers used appropriate force to defend themselves and arrest the man.
None of the parties involved reported any injuries.
The man was in custody pending a bail hearing on charges including flight from police, dangerous operation of a vehicle and assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
