Mayor Optimistic For Road Project Funding

It's a win-lose situation with traffic flows into Grand Bend during the busy summer months.

Plenty of traffic translates into more revenue for local merchants but long line-ups for visitor waiting to turn onto Main St.

One of the problems is the narrow bridge on Hwy. 21 but Lambton Shores Mayor Bill Weber was told at the recent AMO conference that Connecting Link Funding could be available by the summer of next year.

Money could be used to widen the bridge and make improvements to King St. in Forest.

Once all the studies are done, Weber expects the municipality to apply for funding.
