Pt. Edward Casino (BlackburnNews.com photo by Melanie Irwin)The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has issued first-quarter non-tax gaming revenue payments to communities hosting casinos across the province.
Pt. Edward is getting just over $612,000 for the period from April to June of this year.
Since the waterfront casino opened in April 2000, the village has received over $36.3 million from the OLG.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
