9th Annual Stuff The Bus

Two Sarnia Transit buses will make stops at ten area grocery stores today (Saturday) to "Stuff the Bus".

The annual event will collect non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army and St. Vincent De Paul.

Route one makes its first stop at 9am at Foodland in Bright's Grove then travels to WalMart at 10:30am. Stops are also planned at Mike's No Frills and Ken's Valu-Mart ending at Northgate Metro.

The second bus starts the day in Corunna visiting No Frills and then Foodland before moving onto other stores and ending at Metro on London Rd in Sarnia.

Donations will be divided evenly between the two organizations. Volunteers are hoping to collect over 4,500 lbs of food.

Organizers says all donations are welcome but there's a particular need for cereal, children's snacks, peanut butter and hygiene items.
