A large refinery vessel is being transported across Sarnia today.
It's route began at Chester St., then moved west on to Confederation, north on to Murphy Rd., up to Exmouth and reaches its final destination off of Harbour Rd. From there, the vessel is to be loaded onto a barge for transport to Minnesota and then on to Alberta.
During the move, Bluewater Power workers hoisted themselves up on truck crane lifts to lift the power lines and allow the vessel under.
Sarnia Police Services asked motorists try to avoid the transport route for several hours.
Service is to be disrupted for approximately 34 Bluewater Power customers in the Exmouth/Indian Rd. area, possibly for a couple of hours, because a hydro line will have to be taken down in the process.
It is not yet known when service will be restored.
