After being closed for a month, the Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation say Indian Hills Golf Club will reopen to the public Saturday.
The course was closed to the public after the discovery of the geyser-like eruption of naturally occurring gas from beneath a pond June 17.
Members of the Municipal Emergency Control Group met Thursday for a debriefing, and have determined the course is safe for public use.
The discovery last month, of what was initially believed to be naturally occurring methane gas, forced officials to issue a "localized emergency" for Indian Hills Golf Course that lasted close to two weeks.
