The Sarnia Legionnaires have announced details of a Program of Excellence that will benefit future players.
The program will provide players with university exposure, as well as access to a full complement of health and wellness professionals, through the team's kinesiologist, dentist, chiropractor, career counsellors, conditioning specialists and academic advisors.
Head Coach Mark Davis says there is no program like it in junior 'B'.

Davis says the program sort of acts like an agent, with each player having their own highlight reel and resume to help them with university recruitment. He says this is going to help the team recruit quality talent.
The Legionnaires have also implemented a player transition policy that will continue to support signed players who have been injured, released or traded.
Through a partnership with Empowerplay, players will be able to take SAT prep classes to help them pursue post secondary education in the U.S.
The Legionnaires begin training camp August 22 at Clearwater Arena.
