A man is facing charges after a boating mishap near Canatara Park Beach.
The Sarnia Police Service says sometime Friday afternoon, a man drove a motorized boat far up onto the shore, behind one of the homes that border the beach.
Police were called shortly after and the driver of the boat, an American citizen, was arrested and has been charged with operating the boat while impaired. The man was the only person on the boat when it crashed into the shore.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police say the man will be responsible for removing the boat from its location on the shoreline.
