City of Sarnia Staff are recommending Robert J. Swayze be hired for the city's Integrity Commissioner. His role would allow neutral, independent oversight of city conduct expected of elected and appointed officials. Mayor Mike Bradley says it's an outlet for the public to voice concerns. The cost for an Integrity Commissioner is not part of the 2015 approved budget, but will be reflected in the Other Municipal area of the Operating Budget.
Swayze has served as Integrity Commissioner to Oakville, Guelph, Mississauga, and other municipalities.
