Pan Am Torch In Sarnia-Lambton

The Pan Am Torch Relay is on the move through Sarnia-Lambton today.

The torch will start the day at the Point Edward Optimist Hall, making its way to Sarnia City Hall for a ceremony at 9am.

The torch leaves city hall at 9:15am, south on Christina St. to Wellington St. , then heading north on Front St. to London Rd.

From there the torch will head down London Rd. to East St where it will arrive at the ASW track at the former St. Patrick's high school, where 600 elementary students will be there to cheer on the last few torchbearers as it makes way to the Aamjiwnaang First Nation.

Among the torch bearers are Wes Harding, Joel Skinner and John DeGroot.

More than 3,000 people will serve as torchbearers during the 41-day relay.
