Police Continue To Investigate Canatara Gun Report

Sarnia police continue to investigate a disturbing incident reported by three young girls at Canatara Park just after midnight holiday Monday. Three teens said a masked man, allegedly pointed a handgun at them and demanded money, but then left empty handed when the girls said they had none.

The incident occurred at about 12:10am near the west end of the Canatara Park beach parking lot. Constable Les Jones says precautions should be taken during the warmer months if you're going to be out late. He notes there is a midnight curfew at Canatara.
