Bitumen Refinery To Be Debated Tuesday

Bringing a bitumen refinery to Sarnia-Lambton will be a topic of discussion this week as "The Big Debate" gets underway Tuesday morning.

The two day event at the Holiday Inn Point Edward covers many issues, including the government's role in taking pro-active measures to encourage greater refining and processing of Canada's petroleum resources within the county. Conference Chair. Dr. Walter Petryschuk says economist Jim Stanford will be pitted against University of Alberta Energy Policy professor Andrew Leach to debate the issue.
