Charges Laid In Pharmacy Break-Ins

Three people are facing charges in connection with a rash of drug thefts from pharmacies.

The Ontario Provincial Police says between late August to November of 2014, a man broke into numerous pharmacies in Grand Bend, Bayfield, North Perth Township, Ailsa Craig and Forest. Police say the drugs were stolen and used for the purpose of trafficking.

Following a multi-jurisdictional investigation involving the OPP, Waterloo Regional Police, London police, St. Thomas police and Sarnia police,  34-year-old William Christopher Kechego from Adelaide St. in London has been charged with the following offences:

• Two counts of possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana Over 30 g.
• Six counts of break, enter and theft
• Four counts of wearing a disguise in the commission of an indictable offence
• Three counts of trafficking in a Schedule I Substance
• Three counts of trafficking in stolen goods Over $5,000
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Kateland Watson, 22, of no fixed address is charged with:

• Two counts of break and enter
• Wearing a disguise in the commission of an indictable offence

Robert Matthew Roth, 31, of Middlesex County is charged with:

• Three counts of break, enter and theft
• Wearing a disguise in the commission of an indictable offence
• Three counts of failing to stop for police

Kechego is in custody on other charges in Waterloo where he will answer to these additional charges. The other two accused will appear in a London court at a later date.
