January Home Invasion Still Being Investigated

Sarnia police are still investigating a violent home invasion that occurred just before 8pm January 11, 2015 in the 1800 block of Blackwell Rd. A victim suffered a broken nose, bruises and swelling on other parts of his body in an assault by a man wielding a baseball bat. The victim was eventually able to disarm the intruder, who also may have been injured, and forced him from the house. Police say the suspect was a white male, about 5'8", of medium build, wearing a hoodie under a dark coat. Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
