The Ontario By Bike Network is hosting a free "cycle tourism" workshop next Thursday, April 16 from 9am-11am at the Lambton College Event Centre.

Spokesperson Louisa Mursell says the Sarnia area has a tremendous opportunity.

Meanwhile, a proposal in Sarnia's Transportation Master Plan calls for dedicated bike lanes on Colborne Rd. and Cathcart Blvd. to be developed as early as this summer.

The plan says parking should be eliminated on one side of Cathcart allowing the trail system to stretch from Canatara Park to Modeland Rd. to link with the Howard Watson Nature trail.

Bike lanes will be discussed at public meetings in May.
