Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley is again calling for stiffer penalties for mayors and councillors who violate the Open Meeting Act.
The ombudsman's most recent annual report shows the problem is growing and Mike Bradley says until there's harsher punishments it will continue to worsen.
He's been asking the province to adopt tougher penalties for nearly 20 years.

Bradley says the response he typically receives is that the province is currently studying making revisions to the Municipal Act.
He says the issues and solutions have been identified and the time to move forward is now.
