High winds caused power outages across Sarnia-Lambton Monday afternoon.
There were reports of downed hydro lines.
Hydro One's Nancy Shaddick confirmed a line came down near Watford disrupting service to over 5,000 of its customers in Wyoming, Petrolia and Watford and that power supply to Bluewater Power customers was also impacted.
Bluewater Power said about 1,800 of its customers were affected.
Outages were also reported in St. Clair Twp., Camlachie and up around the Pinery.
Shaddick said restoration was expected by the supper hour or evening in most cases.
Some sporadic outages were also reported in the city.
Residents are reminded to stay clear of any downed power lines.
Drivers were being urged to be careful in the high winds.
There were reports that a stop light was broken off at London Rd. & Brock St. and was swinging by its wires.
Sarnia Police responded.
OPP reported a construction sign blowing into the eastbound lanes of the 402 at Strathroy during the afternoon.
Lambton Centennial Public School in Enniskillen cancelled all volleyball games Monday night because of a lack of power.
