Police Takedown In Downtown Sarnia

Sarnia police arrested two people during a "high-risk" take down at the corner of Christina St. and Davis St. Thursday morning.

Constable John Sottosanti says police were conducting a search warrant for a firearm and drugs on Queen St. He says prior to their arrival, the two suspects were located downtown and arrested.

Sottosanti says a search of the Queen St. residence revealed drugs but no firearms.

A 50-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man were arrested and released on charges of possession of a controlled substance.

During the take down, officers had their weapons drawn as a precaution.
