Computer problems at US Customs at the Blue Water Bridge were causing major traffic delays Tuesday.
Trucks and other vehicles on the westbound 402 approach to the bridge were backed up to Airport Rd. and beyond at times.
Motorists coming into Sarnia on the 402 were being advised to exit the highway at Mandaumin Rd. to avoid being caught up in stalled traffic.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says traffic was moving across the span, although very slowly.
Efforts were underway to try to resolve the computer issues.
Long delays were also experienced in Windsor Tuesday morning.
