MOH Says Ebola Risk Very Low

Lambton County's Medical Officer of Health says there's a far greater risk to the general population from influenza and preventable injuries than Ebola.

Dr. Sundit Ranade addressed health concerns at county council's meeting in Wyoming Wednesday afternoon.

He recommends the usual preventative measures for the flu and enterovirus which has been detected in the region.

Dr. Ranade says that developed countries shouldn't have an issue containing an ebola outbreak, even though the risk of an outbreak is extremely low locally.

He does recommend local residents get a flu shot.
