Apparent Vandalism Mars Track Surface

An apparent act of vandalism has left a black mark on the Sarnia Central Athletics track at the former St. Patrick's High School on East St.

It appears a fire was set at the southwest end of the oval.

Head Coach of the Sarnia Athletic Southwest Track and Field Club, Joel Skinner says they're looking at repair options.

Skinner says if the damage is not severe there's the option of patching the burn mark.

He says they're still assessing the damage and won't be able to start repairs until spring.
