Theft of motorbike from Southgate business under investigation

Police are investigating after a motorbike was stolen from a Southgate business.

According to Grey Bruce OPP, on October 5 at 7:23 p.m., officers received a report of a motorbike theft that occurred during the evening hours of October 4.

Investigators determined that on October 4 at 9:30 p.m., surveillance footage captured the theft of a red, white, and black 2001 Honda CR250R from a business parking lot near Symington Street and Milliner Avenue in the Township of Southgate.

Police say two unknown suspects arrived in a black Dodge Ram pick-up with no front licence plate, a front-mounted light bar, and a rear passenger-side taillight that didn't work. One of the suspects drove off on the stolen motorbike, and the other left on another motorbike.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident, or who may have CCTV, dash-cam, or residential security camera footage from the area around the time of the theft, to contact the Grey Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
