Severe winter weather causes bus cancellations, school closures

Severe winter weather in the form of a heavy band of snow squalls is causing numerous bus cancellations and even school closures.

Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) confirmed just after 6:30 a.m. on Thursday morning that all Zone 3 schools, encompassing all of Wellington North, are closed due to the weather conditions.

UGDSB says that schools in Zones 1, 2 and 4 remain open, but bus cancellations in the region may impact student's ability to get to school.

If your kids attend a UGDSB school, you can click to see the status of your local schools here: https://www.ugdsb.ca/page/list-of-ugdsb-schools-by-zone.

Additionally, many bus routes are cancelled throughout Bruce, Grey, Huron and Perth counties, as well. Stay up-to-date on bus cancellations, local road closures and event cancellations on our closures page HERE: https://cknxnewstoday.ca/closures
