South Bruce OPP investigating a reported dispute in the municipality ended up stopping a driver who was prohibited from getting behind the wheel.
Police were called to the dispute at a property along Concession 4 just before midnight last Sunday. Officers were told a man had been driving, despite a prior court order that banned him from doing so.
As a result of the ensuing investigation, a 33-year-old South Bruce man was charged with nine offences including four counts of driving while under suspension, three counts of driving while prohibited, and one count each of failing to comply with probation and using a plate not authorized for a vehicle.
The man appeared for a bail hearing where he was remanded into custody, police said.
