Fatal crash under investigation

Grey Bruce OPP continue to investigate a fatal crash that claimed two lives near Dundalk.

On January 27 at 8:40 a.m., police were called to a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Grey Road 9 and Southgate Sideroad 71 in the Township of Southgate.

Officers responded with the Dundalk Fire Department and Dufferin County Paramedic Service and found a commercial motor vehicle and a passenger vehicle had collided.

A 49-year-old and 15-year-old, both from Kitchener, were tragically killed as a result of the crash. A 19-year-old sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The identity of the deceased individuals will not be released out of respect for the family's privacy. Police continue to investigate. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact Grey Bruce OPP. Any dash camera footage would be helpful, as well.
