Two new vice-presidents to start at Brightshores Health System in September

Brightshores Health System has hired two new senior leadership members - one to head clinical programs and the other to oversee digital teams supporting clinical care.

Tim Pemberton will assume the newly created role of vice-president of digital health and technology, chief information officer, and chief privacy officer on September 9. He comes to Brightshores from Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa. There he served as the vice-president of mental health, diagnostic services, chief information officer, and chief privacy officer. In his new position with Brightshores he will work to support the advancement of clinical digital transformation across the Georgian Bay Information Network (GBIN) of 16 hospitals, Brightshores said in a statement issued on Friday.

Beth Morris has been announced as the vice-president of clinical services and quality, chief nursing executive. Her first day on the job will be on September 30. Morris brings what is described as a "wide range of executive nursing and hospital operations experience, according to Brightshores. She is also known as an advocate for regional health planning. In her position, Morris will be responsible for leading clinical programs and planning for the health system's quality care portfolio.

"We welcome Beth and Tim to Brightshores and our Grey Bruce community," Brightshores said. "We look forward to their contributions and support of the exciting future ahead."
