The Wellington County OPP have charged a third person in connection to the kidnapping and murder of Jason John Brown.
On March 12, 2019, the body of the 43-year-old Brown, a resident of Kitchener, was located in the Oshawa area of Durham Region.
Following further investigation, the Wellington County OPP arrested and charged 30-year-old Travis Willard Wand of Wellington North.
He now faces charges of first degree murder, two counts of assault with a weapon, kidnapping, theft over $5,000 motor vehicle, two counts of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of obstruction of justice.
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on September 21, 2024 to answer to the charges.
