Bruce County launches online cultural hub

Bruce County has created a new online hub to highlight the region's cultural resources.

Bruce County's Warden pointed out culture creates opportunities for shared experience, enhances quality of life, promotes a sense of vitality, and encourages job creation and innovation.

“The unique identity of Bruce County is supported by a rich tapestry of cultural assets and natural resources. Through strategic planning and mutual cooperation, we honour and celebrate the diverse heritage, culture, and artistic expressions that shape the character of local communities and the County as a whole,” said Warden Chris Peabody.

A new online hub at www.brucecounty.on.ca/culture will help connect residents and visitors with local festivals, events, and cultural business. It also includes the extensive resources available at Bruce County Public Libraries and the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre.

Bruce County’s Cultural Action Plan (CAP) identified key opportunities for growth in the arts, culture, and heritage sectors, including building cultural capacities, developing and maintaining cultural assets, enhancing cultural communication, implementing coordinated cultural planning, and fostering engagement with Indigenous communities.
