The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance announced the Clinton Public Hospital emergency department will be closed all day on Sunday, July 16.
The temporary closure is due to staffing shortages. Already operating on reduced hours, the ER will reopen on Monday (July 17) morning and resume operating from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1. Paramedics will re-route to the nearest available emergency department. Hopsitals closest to Clinton include, Seaforth, Goderich and Exeter.
The HPHA also reminds residents that St. Marys Memorial Hospital has a temporary closure this weekend.
