More charges laid against former Seaforth golf pro

More charges have been laid against disgraced former Seaforth golf coach, Cameron Doig.

Huron County OPP say they received information regarding an allegation of a sexual assault that reportedly occurred in the early 1980's. The Huron OPP Major Crime Unit investigated the matter, and on June 30, the 64-year-old Doig was arrested and charged with indecent assault.

Doig has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for August 28 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich to answer to the charges.

This charge follows a conviction in 2022 against Doig for which he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for sexually assaulting a teenage girl in the 1990s.

The victim in that case was just 13-years-old when she was first sexually assaulted by Doig.

Additionally, the judge in that case ordered that Doig be banned from any public spaces where someone under the age of 16 would be present, alongside other conditions.
